L.A. Fire Season for 2023
Despite what is considered a long winter for L.A., the city is still preparing for fire season. Southern California Should Expect Fires It seems like Los Angeles is barely getting out of a very wet winter yet it is the end of June. The unusual rainy weather did not stop fire season 2023 from making an appearance. In this blog, we will take a look at some of the predictions the fire department has for us and what we can do to stay safe. According to the Los Angeles Times, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection chief Joe Tyler says that the soggy winter we had merely delayed the start of the fire season for southern California. “The abundant rain has produced tall grass and other vegetation that’s dried out already and is ready to burn,” Tyler said.
